History of our Consulate General, 22.03.2016

Our Consulate General was established in 1925. At first, it commenced the consular affairs at “37 Avenue Alexandre Le Grand” address (Annex 1, 2 and 3). In 1932, it moved to “121. Avenue Fouad 1er” on the Fouad Street across the National Museum, which is a higly-esteemed neighbourhood (Annex 4, 5 and 6). Finally, on the 21st of March in 1954, the Consulate General, embodying the Chancellery and the Residence, started to operate at its current address. The consular affairs had ceased during the period of 1961-1993 and recommenced at the same location in December 1993.
