Press Release Regarding the Terrorist Attack in the city of Quetta, Pakistan

We have learned with deep sorrow that according to initial reports at least 50 people lost their lives and dozens were injured in a terrorist attack today (8 August) against a hospital in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, Pakistan.
We condemn this heinous attack which targets the peace and security of Pakistan and aims to destabilize the country, wish God’s mercy on those who lost their lives, hope for a speedy recovery to the wounded and convey our condolences to the Government and the brotherly people of Pakistan.
On this occasion, we are convinced that Pakistan will succeed in its fight against terrorism and we once again express our strong solidarity with the Government and brotherly people of Pakistan.
