Press Release Regarding the Internal Developments in Macedonia
No: 154, 15 May 2015
Turkey is closely following the recent internal political developments in the friendly and brotherly Republic of Macedonia.
Maintaining that political tensions should always be settled through dialogue within the framework of democratic rules and the principle of rule of law, Turkey has welcomed that four political party leaders in the government and the opposition in Macedonia came together yesterday (14 May) and made positive statements after the meeting.
Henceforward, we wish that the political parties and non-governmental organizations together with all Macedonian citizens, including our kinsmen, will search for solutions to differences in opinions through peaceful means, dialogue and mutual respect and without giving way to violence.
